Chaenopsidae - Blennies

The term Blenny is ambiguous consistung of several families. Chaenopsidae is specifically tube blennies, flagblennies, and pikeblennies. Here you will find the first two. All of the fish in this family are tropical and most are found in North to South America. These fish are very small and may be the smallest of all invertabrites. Their small size can make them easily ovwelooked by divers. The habit of takimg up home in abandoned worm tubes has earned some species the name tube-blenny.
