Chaetodontidae - Butterflyfish

Butterflyfish are remarkable not only for their coloration but for their feeding specializations. Most have small, protactile mouths with many tiny teeth. Different species are specialized for feeding on invertebrates while others specialize on prey types such as zooplankton, coral polyps, sponges, and polychaete worms. The Butterflyfish are closely related to angelfish - family Pomacanthidae.
